If there were any doubt about friendship being God ordained, one would only need to look at the first chapter of Luke's gospel, where we find two women, Elizabeth and Mary, brought together by their unique circumstances. Both were chosen by God to impact the future of the world, and both, were carrying a miracle child.
Even though they were women of tremendous faith, they needed someone to share this experience with, someone who understood. So their loving heavenly father gave them the perfect companion, the perfect answer to their need-He gave them each other.
