Jesus Loves Me! He Loves Me!

From the time I was a little girl I desperately wanted Jesus to love me. For this to happen I believed I would need to be perfect. Try as I might it was simply impossible.

However, that did not change my desire. I knew there was more to life and I knew with God I would find it. So, seek Him I did. The evidence of His love was everywhere.

I was amazed to learn that through out scriptures He declared his ever lasting and never ending love for us. Even beyond that He proved it. He died for me. Amazingly God’s love was not something to earn, but something to receive. What was required of me was simply to believe.

While it seemed impossible that my creator, the very one who spoke the heavens and the earth into being could love me, I said yes, Lord…. I believe.

Many years later I still believe and have experienced that God is who He says He is. He has even managed to convince me I am the apple of His eye and He created me for His pleasure.

Beloved, this knowledge only comes from a relationship. And, this is my prayer for you. That you will begin a relationship of knowing the one true and lasting love of your life…Jesus Christ.

Here is a prayer to help you begin that relationship … just pray …

Dear God,

I desire to know you as my Savior and I invite you into my heart. I acknowledge I am a sinner and I need the saving grace your death on the cross provides. I repent of my sins and accept the forgiveness you offer.

I believe you are the Christ the one and true son of God, the resurrection and life, and the only one who provides eternal life. I believe you arose from the dead, are now with God the Father and someday I will join you there.

Until then, be magnified in my life, show me and teach me your ways. Realizing I will never know or understand all things … still I will BELIEVE.

Now that you have prayed the most important prayer of your life, here are some things to do to help you on your new journey.

1. Talk to a Christian, a minister or someone you have witnessed their belief and share this experience. You will need friends of faith to encourage you.

2. Begin reading the gospel of John and get to know Jesus the One and Only… your Savior.

3. Find a church where you can worship, learn, fellowship and contribute. This process may take a while, but God has just the place for you! Believe it!

4. And, begin every day with… Lord, I love you and I believe!
